I was receiving the following error when trying to logon as a regular user on a Windows 
XP computer in an Active Directory Domain:

Error: The local policy of this system does not permit you to logon interactively.

To fix this error I downloaded the 2003 Resource Kit and ran Ntrights from the domain 
controller to the remote problem computer:

C:\>ntrights -m \\192.168.0.69 -u Users +r SeInteractiveLogonRight
 Granting SeInteractiveLogonRight to Users on \\192.168.0.69... successful
